Company fixed the issue and I have been provided with settlement agreement. once CSI Pros finally agreed to a settlement amount, they were done.

They apparently cannot enforce their decisions. I had to chase after the movers myself for a check..

I added facts and the new photos they wanted in September. Took them 3 weeks to get back to me asking for more photos--because they neglected to look in their own files that they required me to upload to!

Did finally award me a settlement, and had me sign a release that this would be final. CSI was supposed to send the release to Your Home Town Mover on September 21st, and then they had 45 days (!!!!) to get me payment. 40 days go by, no check. I ask CSI what recourse I have, and CSI can only arbitrate, they have no authority to make the movers pay the settlement--told me I have to contact the movers myself!

Your Hometown Movers have never--I repeat NEVER, returned a call I have made to them. Receptionist 1 took my message the Thursday before the 45 days was up. No call back. Called again Friday, and I was able to make Receptionist #2 understand that they needed to deal with me since it was my items that got damaged.

No return call from her boss---another week goes by. Now they are at 50 days. Called again. Receptionist #2 gives me some song and dance about never having received the release from CSI Pros!!

So, I forwarded them MY copy, and explained it all over again. Did get an email from the boss finally that they were sending the check, but only after confirming it all with CSI--what, because I made it up???

I have never been treated with so much distain in all my life, from both companies--as if I was some low-life trash stuck on their shoe.Check arrived today.5 MONTHS!!!!!!!! CSI Pros AND Your Hometown Movers are a joke!

Declined their estimate of payment--provided more information on the damages. Now I wait--the paperwork said it can take up to 3 MONTHS for them to get back to me!!!!!!!!

The moving company I used decided to break my move up into two parts--not convenient. Then they ignored me telling them where stuff should go, dumping most of it in my wet basement.

Hence, mostly water damage. But complaints about them are not for here. My only recourse, they told me, was to file through the company they use for damage resolution, CSI Pros. WHO NEVER ANSWER ANY PHONE, OR RETURN ANY CALL.

Watch what you are signing with moving companies--if you don't fork over major $$ for full insurance, the industry standard is to give you only 30 cents per pound for your items. (So never send family heirlooms with them). They want you to substantiate weights by giving them item numbers and receipts for all items, so they can look up weights. How do you do that with books and furniture you got secondhand?

Magazines? If a destroyed glass wall shelf only weighs 10 pounds, they don't care if it costs $150 to replace, they are only obligated to give you $3.00 for it. A guy emailed me and said he was my "case manager"--and sent me the initial forms to fill out. Where is he in all this?

NO RESPONSES to calls OR emails. I estimated weights of non-industry standard boxes, took many photos and sent them on. They determined to only give me what their industry standard weight is for what THEY determined was the size of my boxes. When I asked what exactly they needed from me for more proof--I GOT CUT AND PASTE SCRIPTED RESPONSES--TWICE--THE EXACT SAME MESSAGE.

When I called this new guy, the claims adjuster, on that lousy customer "service", through email only, and asked for more help, again listing all my questions for him, his response was "How can I help you?" --he never read a thing.

They are all hoping to run the clock out on you, and that you will just shut up and go away. Still not done dealing with them.

User's recommendation: get a Uhaul and do it yourself--they are all crooks.

Monetary Loss: $1600.

Preferred solution: CSI is not a moving company--they are a claims adjustor hired by moving companies. I want them to answer my questions, answer the phone, and pay me for what my boxes actually weigh, not make up their own random amounts..

CSI Pros Cons: Will never speak with you on the phone, Only respond to email questions with scripted responses, Only have the movers back--not yours, Say they are being impartial, But just want you to go away.
